If you didn't know already, I absolutely love to read. If you were to come to my house at night, the first thing you could guess I would be doing is reading. I am obsessed! I prefer a good book over a movie or television show any day of the week. And when I have finished a book that I've fallen in love with, I tend to have a mourning session of realizing I am done with that book. The characters in a book become my friends. I see myself as part of their story. As if I have some sort of say in what happens to their lives. And I am notorious for finishing book all too quickly. It's impossible for me to take time and savor a book. I want to know how it ends and I am too impatient to take a couple weeks to find out. Most books, if they are good, I end up reading within two days. And then completely regret it because I have finished a story and my friendship with the characters is over. Ridiculous? Yes, absolutely, but I just can't help it!
This summer I have 15 weeks off. That is, from when school ended to when school will begin once again. And as a side note, I will be attending West Chester University. Can't wait! Anyway, with my 15 weeks, I have decided to read 15 books. I spent a lot of time researching which ones I wanted to read, which was a very hard task because there are just so many good ones to choose from. However, after hours of reading and researching I compiled a list that I am quite pleased with. At the end of each book, I'll write a review of what I thought. I do apologize however, because I've already read 4 books and am behind in writing this. I'll do my best to catch you all up in the next week and hopefully be able to tell you all about the amazing book that I read for the week. Feel free to ask questions or add any comments to one of my books. Here's to the best summer ever!!!
1. The Hunger Games
2. Pride and Prejudice
3. Wuthering Heights
4. Life of Pi
5. The Summer We Read Gatsby
6. Love in a Time of Cholera
7. My Name is Mary Sutter
8. Dombey and Son
9. Captain Corelli's Mandolin
10. Great Expectations
11. Things Fall Apart
12. Antony and Cleopatra
13. Elizabeth Street
14. Vanity Fair

Here's to New Beginnings
Well I am officially starting a blog for the millionth time. For the last year and a half I have attempted to write and before even starting got distracted by how my page looked and just gave up all together. So, I'm off to a good start with this because... words are actually being written down! Now let's see how long I can make this last :)
I have some exciting news to let all my friends and family know. As of this June, I will no longer be a resident of Colorado, but instead residing in the glorious state of Pennsylvania with horses and buggies and all! I am very excited for this opportunity that has come up in my life and the new adventure I am about to go on. I know this may seem like a random move so, let me connect the dots for you.
In the Summer of 2009, I had the great opportunity of interning underneath my cousins who happen to live in Pennsylvania and are youth pastors. I learned a lot from the experience and fell in love with the place and people. Since then, I have wrestled with the idea of moving there and it just never seemed like the right time. Maybe that was lack of planning on my part or just wasn't the Lord, but either way it never seemed to work out. Well, in October I really started to think about moving there again and just couldn't shake the thought. I went to my parents, who happen to be incredible, and after long thought and prayer we all decided it was a good move for me!
I sit in my room right now not really sure how I'm feeling. I am so excited for this opportunity to move to Pennsylvania, but it's also a sad time. It's a growing up time more than anything. It's scary realizing that you'll be taking care of your own finances and making sure the bills are all paid. But it's also such a great time. I know the Lord is going to stretch me and push me in ways I never knew possible while there. I'll miss my family dearly, but I look forward to the new friendships that will be gained along the way. In fact, there already is one with a boy that is going quite swell already. It will be good to live in the same state as my boyfriend. PTL!
So here is to a new beginning in all aspects of my life. To moving to a new place and to having a new blog. I tend to come up with great ideas that I never follow through with. I think following through with these things is a step in the right direction.
Oh and for those interested this is the area I will be living in. Oh yes, it's that great...
